With your permission, I would like to begin this column with a question. Do you believe it is possible to write a book that is so good that it can save our nation?

Now, I realize that you may not think that our nation needs saving. While everyone has a right to their own opinion, every well-informed American citizen knows and understands that our nation cannot sustain a national debt of $34 trillion; more than 10 million illegal, unvetted, aliens who crossed our Southern border that we must feed, house, educate, and care for; 38 million American families living hand-to-mouth; and a toxic environment in our nation’s capital.

What is the answer? There is only one correct answer and that is our nation must return to God, the same God who blessed our nation when it was founded, and in less than 200 years became the greatest nation in the history of the world. A plan to do this has been laid out in a new book titled “Keep Your Fork” that has been written by Jim & Janis Davidson. There has never been a book like this one, written by anyone, anytime, anywhere, in the history of the world. This is a fantastic book and all one must do to truly appreciate it is just to read it. 

A sample follows, beginning on page 16: “The next thing I want to present is the history of Spiritual Revival and Awakening in America. There have been at least three Great Awakenings in America in our history, and we are way past due for another one. Here is the definition of a Spiritual Awakening. It is a series of religious revivals in American Christian history. Each of these three great awakenings was characterized by widespread revivals led by evangelical Protestant ministers, a sharp increase in religion, a profound sense of conviction and redemption on the part of those affected, an increase in evangelical church membership and the formation of a new religious movement and denominations.”

We should note here that 52 of the 55 English Colonists who signed the Declaration of Independence were Evangelical Christians, and seven of the eight Ivy League colleges were formed to teach ministers of the Gospel (Cornell being the exception).

There are 18 chapters in this book, plus a Patriots Corner, and 22 of Janis’ Favorite Dessert Recipes that were published in her four cookbooks. We have already placed this book in the hands of some very important and key people. Since the beginning of recorded history, it has always been the leaders who get things done.
